What are the special features of Ciliata?

Ciliate cells have another special characteristic, which has two nuclei, namely the macronucleus and micronucleus. Macronucleus are larger than micronucleus. Macronucleus has a vegetative function, which is for growth and propagation. Micronuclei have a reproductive function, which is in conjugation. Ciliata also has a trichokist whose function is to defend from enemies.
