Malang, Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, Ponorogo and Jombang districts East Java are the five areas targeted for the implementation of the 106th Manitarian Army Building (TMMD) program in 2019 in East Java. Even before being officially declared as the target location for the implementation of TMMD, each party from the Regional Military Command and the Provincial Government conducted a review. In the assessment, there were several important criteria before each village from each region was declared to be the location of the 106th TMMD implementation in East Java.

In the assessment, there were several important criteria before each village from each region was declared to be the location of the 106th TMMD implementation in East Java.

Head of Information Kodam V / Brawijaya Colonel Arm Imam Haryadi said, Kedungsalam Village, located in Malang Regency, was considered worthy to be the target of TMMD program implementation at this time. These include the Kupang Jabon Village in Sidoarjo, Jatiarjo Village Pasuruan Regency, Sooko Village Ponorogo Regency, and Galengdowo Village Jombang Regency.

The former Deputy Assistant of Intelligence Kasdam V / Brawijaya said that the five villages have experienced rapid changes. Because the various public infrastructure began to stand strong. "The five villages are isolated areas," Colonel Imam told reporters on Sunday (3/11).

In addition to road construction, said Imam, several public infrastructure has begun to be enjoyed by the community in the TMMD location, some of which are the existence of irrigation canal construction, repair of uninhabitable houses, asphalting roads to the existence of bathing, washing and latrine or MCK.

"The results of the development were handed over directly to the community through the Village Head. So, TMMD is from the people, and for the people," he explained.

Asmuni (42), one of the farmers in Kedungsalam Village, Malang Regency admitted that the existence of the TMMD program was able to bring rapid development in his village.

In fact, he said, while in the 106th TMMD location, the Task Force did not hesitate to help various community difficulties. One of them is the existence of drains or irrigation which previously suffered quite severe damage.

"That is the only irrigation owned by villagers here. Previously, it was damaged quite badly," he said.
It did not take long, Asmuni said that if the irrigation channel had begun to be used by the Kedungsalam community, who were mostly farmers.

"The condition is now quite good, the irrigation built is quite strong and the process is good," he said.
Meanwhile, Dansatgas TMMD Kodim / 0818 Malang-Batu Regency Lieutenant Colonel Inf Ferry Muzawwad appreciated the performance of its personnel. Not only the construction of irrigation channels, but some construction of public facilities in the village were able to be completed within a specified time limit.

"Thank God, it is also thanks to the synergy and support from all parties, including the local community who volunteered to help," said Lt. Col. Inf Ferry Muzawwad.

The existence of the TMMD program does not only bring development to the community in Kedungsalam Village. Residents of Jatiarjo Village, Pasuruan Regency also feel the benefits of the current TMMD program.

The existence of the construction of a 3x4 meter bridge in the village, apparently received a lot of appreciation from the community. Even during the construction of the bridge, residents unconditionally assisted the Task Force personnel under the control of the Task Force Lieutenant Colonel Arh H. Burhan Fajari Arfian.

Another resident, Kasim (31) said that during the construction of the bridge, many residents joined directly with the task force. Because the existence of the bridge is considered very important in order to boost the economy of the residents in the village. "The bridge is the main access link between which we really need," said Kasim.

Separately, the 106th TMMD Dansatgas Kodim / 0819 Pasuruan, Lt. Col. Burhan Fajari Arfian explained that the existence of the TMMD Task Force, was not only aimed at completing various infrastructure developments.

But before that, he had instructed his personnel to be able to realize the unity between the TNI and the people. "That has been proven when the TMMD process is running. Previously, we appealed to the personnel to be able to realize the Unity, especially instilling the spirit of patriotism and nationalism in the citizens of the TMMD location. Because, patriotism and nationalism, are the heritage of the ancestors of the Indonesian people," he said.

Not only physical programs, the 106th TMMD in East Java also targets non-physical programs. Imam Haryadi explained, non-physical programs included various programs in the form of counseling or debriefing aimed at the community in the TMMD location. In fact, various speakers from each institution were also presented by the Task Force.

"Counseling includes health awareness, education, job training, agricultural counseling until the socialization of the law and the dangers of narcotics," said Colonel Imam.

Various counseling is considered able to shape the character and mentality of people who are in isolated areas. In addition to being equipped to face the development of information and technology, especially the industrial revolution 4.0.

"The debriefing is intended to change the mindset of people in remote villages, so they are able to compete with technological advancements like today," he said.

To note, the TMMD 106 program was previously opened by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa in the Jabon District Square, Sidoarjo, Wednesday (2/10).
